‘La’Yehudim’ by Happie Hoffman – Jewish Rock Radio Song of the Week
Many of us are familiar with the words “LaYehudim haytah ora, v’simcha, v’sason, vikar” as being part of the Havdalah service that ends Shabbat — “For the Jews there was light and gladness, happiness and honor.” These words actually originate from the end of Megillat Esther, which is read on Purim! This totally gorgeous setting comes from my longtime friend, Happie Hoffman. May there be light and gladness for you and yours this Purim! Chag Purim Sameach! -Rick Recht
